With the departure of Jeff Garcia to Oakland, The Bucs have replaced him with veteran Byron Leftwich. With himm off the market now too, the only options left for the Jets are a quarterback on their team or building through the draft. Who knows, maybe Favre comes back too?

So long to Garcia
Yesterday Jeff Garcia signed with the Oakland Raiders. Why anyone would sign with The Raiders, we here at the blog still don't know. What we do know is that if he signed there, then that probably means the Jets didn't make a serious run at him. If that is the case then that means they are probably committed to one of Clemens or Ratliff or a draft pick. Either way, it looks like the Jets will be building for the future, and not sign an aging veteran to temporarilly heal the problem.

Making The Case for Kellen
With the end of the Jay Cutler saga, it's time for Jet fans to realize something; Kellen Clemens will be the Quarterback for you next year. Is this a good thing, a bad thing, or a nuetral thing. In my opinion, it's really a neutral thing. The Jets will be based on a gritty defense this year, and a smash mouth running attack. With Rex Ryan as the head coach, not as much attention will be towards the a high flying offense as has been in recent years. Look at Joe Flacco last year. He didn't have outstanding numbers, but made the AFC championship game by not making stupid decisions, and handing the ball off to halfback. As long as the Jets can protect the football, they should be a solid team this year no matter who is under-center. Stay tuned for future Kellen Clemens VS Brett Ratliffe updates. It boils down to these two.
