I a completely dominating performance by the Yankees, they swept the Padres, allowing only 6 runs over the three games. What is even more impressive, is the "damaged" Yankee rotation allowed only 3 of those runs (2 by Rasner and 1 by Chamberlain). They have now won 7 in a row and have the 7th best record in baseball. Only one week ago they were tied for the 15th. They are showing that they are truly an elite team, despite what the talking-heads have been saying. Although the Yankees will eventually lose another game, they have made their point during the last week. The Yankees are a team to be reckoned with, and will fight to the end. They may not make the playoffs (THEY DEFINATELY WILL AND WILL WIN THE DIVISION TOO) but they will be a team in contention late into September.
